Controversial Adverts !!! 

Barnardo's "Break The Cycle" 

This advert was used to show how many children and teenagers need help in order to help them get out of the bad cycle that their life follows. It showed scenes of children being physically or emotionally abused and how such abuse could affect them later in life.

Many complainants were given about this add and people saw it to be controversial as they were concerned about the imagery of abuse and drug use, especially because the ads were being shown at times when children could be watching. 

Moreover, some people also said that such use of imagery could upset some people who had suffered such treatment.

Phones 4 U 

This is a creepy advert, which has been used in order to advertise the new offer by Phones4u.

The ad features the ghost of a young girl haunting a woman in an underground car park and has been branded too scary for children. People who made a complain about this advert said that it is offensive, irresponsible and can cause a bad effect on children who will see it as it was shown on hours available for children to watch.
